Cruor quod Viscus
By: Vindblain

The sacrifice of blood and flesh
so small a price at first it seems
A drop of life; the spread of legs
Bartered with as worthless means
But blood can bind as flesh can stain
The untold costs for Godless flame
Lured in by warmth and light
A ruined soul all that remains
To fade away in endless eve
A shade bereft the hope of day
To lie in death; a tainted fiend
Or face the firmament and pray
Re-posted because the other deviation simply refuses to be placed in my Poetry folder.

Another product of a sleepless night. The title, Cruor quod Viscus, means Blood and Flesh in Latin.
What's it about? Your guess is about as good as mine. This one has Post-Modernist written all over it. I had no idea what I wanted to write, convey, or otherwise express when I sat down to write it. I just wanted to write, and this is the result.

So...twisting. Its like a spiraling slide this one! I love how it moves through you as you read it. The words that really draw you in are 'blood and flesh'. Those words seem to almost bind you and the poem together when you ready it. I am kinda at a loss for words on how to truly describe what im feeling right now. Its another soul poem. It has its own energy is a good way of looking at it for me. Maybe I am just weird but your writing is very enchanting. I feel as if a siren was whispering in my ear. Its beautiful once again Vindy you amaze me <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
